Standing On The Shore
Standing on the shore at dawn
The sand is cold under my feet
Fog wraps its moist tendrils around me like a blanket
Dense and suffocating
And I feel numb
I hear the dark waters lapping
But they remain hidden from me
I wait patiently for the sun
To clear away the fog of night
And I will cast off once more
Upon the perilous waters that run so deep and alluring
And I will be whole once more
I wait patiently…
